A Year to Celebrate at Curated

Growth, Community & Gratitude in Downtown Redding

As we close the chapter on 2025, we find ourselves pausing, not to rush into what’s next, but to truly reflect on how much has happened, how far we’ve come, and how deeply grateful we are to be part of this community.

This past year has been one of growth, movement, and momentum, not just for Curated Furniture & Decor, but for downtown Redding as a whole. From new storefronts and revitalized streets to meaningful conversations with fellow business owners, this has been a year that reminded us why we believe so strongly in investing locally.

A New Chapter for Curated Furniture & Decor

One of our biggest milestones this year was moving Curated Furniture & Decor to our new location on California Street. We outgrew our previous space much faster than we anticipated, and we had the chance to serve our community on a whole new level with this new storefront.

This year, we also celebrated two years of being open as a retail storefront, a milestone we don’t take lightly. In a time when many small businesses struggle to survive, reaching this point felt deeply meaningful. It’s a reminder that community support, consistency, and care truly matter.

Alongside our move, we expanded both our inventory and our service offerings, bringing in new furniture collections, seasonal décor, and styling pieces while also growing our design services through Kellar Design. Our reach widened, our vision clarified, and our ability to serve both homes and businesses deepened. What a year!

Downtown Redding: A City on the Rise

This year also made one thing abundantly clear: downtown Redding is thriving.

From walkable streets to increased foot traffic, there’s an undeniable buzz surrounding the heart of the city. One of the most exciting additions has been the opening of the Redding Public Market on Market Street, a dynamic gathering place featuring local food vendors, artisan goods, and community-driven experiences. The Public Market has quickly become a destination for both locals and visitors searching for ‘things to do in Redding, CA,’ and its impact has rippled throughout downtown.

Seeing businesses invest in this area, and seeing people show up to support them, has been one of the most encouraging parts of the year.

Celebrating Fellow Local Businesses

A highlight of this year has been connecting with and celebrating other business owners who are shaping Redding’s future.

We were honored to be part of a thoughtful, on-camera conversation with Brittany Baer of Gild Beauty Bar, whose re-launch and rebrand marks a powerful new chapter for her business. Gild Beauty Bar continues to set the standard for full-service spa experiences in Redding, rooted in care, service, and community connection.

We were also thrilled to welcome Organic Pilates, our neighbor downtown, whose beautiful new storefront and thoughtfully curated retail offerings, including apparel from Lululemon and Free People, have added to the vibrancy of the area. Their presence reinforces what downtown Redding is becoming: a place where wellness, movement, style, and connection coexist.

These businesses are proof that collaboration, not competition, is what builds a thriving city.

Conversations That Matter

Throughout the year, we’ve leaned into conversations around design, growth, and intentional living. We talked about how spaces, whether homes, storefronts, or studios, should grow with the people who inhabit them. We explored how investing in environments creates trust, loyalty, and peace.

These ideas shaped not only our blog content, but also how we approached our work, from styling homes to helping small businesses reimagine their customer experience through thoughtful interior design.

A Grateful Heart Going Into the New Year

None of this happens in isolation.

Every milestone, every move, expansion, collaboration, and celebration, was made possible by the support of our city. By customers who shop local. By business owners who show up for one another. By a community that believes Redding is worth investing in.

As we close out this year, we do so with gratitude: for the growth, the lessons, the challenges, and the wins. And most of all, for being part of a city that’s not just changing, but thriving.

Here’s to another year of building beautiful spaces, meaningful connections, and a downtown we’re proud to call home.
